Lee Littlefield, 91, of Shiner, died Sunday, January 8, 2006 after a lengthy illness. He was born May 9, 1914, in Kokernot Gonzales County, Texas to the late Rufus Hutson and Mattie Hoch Littlefield. He spent his formative years in Yoakum, Texas, graduating from Yoakum High School in 1935. He married Carlyne Sengele and lived in Gonzales County for 64 years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and Hochheim Masonic Lodge #182.
Survivors Include: his wife, 3 sons, Clarence Lee and wife, Nancy of Shiner, Kenneth Wayne and wife, Cheryl of New Braunfels, and Mark Douglas Littlefield of Victoria; 1 daughter, Judy Littlefield Hewitt of Austin; 6 grandchildren, David, John, Michael, and Melissa Littlefield, Jeff Hewett, and Michelle Hewett Brennan; 2 great-grandsons, Thomas Brennan and Matthew Littlefield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Clarence William and Rufus Hutson Littlefield, Jr., and 1 sister, Magdalene Horne.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10th from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 11th, at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Shiner, Rev. John Britsch officiating. Masonic graveside services to follow at Kokernot Cemetery in Gonzales County.
Pallbearers: David Littlefield, John Littlefield, Michael Littlefield, Jeff Hewett, Tom Brennan and Walter Horne.
