      On Saturday a nine-year-old boy, son of L. M. Kokernot, one of our most prominent cattlemen, was killed by another boy near Moulton, in Lavaca county. It is supposed that the slayer was under the impression that the pistol was not loaded, and was snapping it in the face of young Kokernot when it was discharged, and instant death resulted.
