  E. M. Wright Meck County will S.M. Carothers letter: Bought land in Cabarrus County from Moses Ferguson in 1760, southern county, called Steel Creek. Deeded in 1768 to John who in 1774 deeded it to his sons Robert and James. Hugh lived in Rocky River section of Cabarrus County Cannot find burial place of Hugh or Sarah.
