Villamae Williams Collection
Villamae Williams was the late head
of the Chambers County Historical Commission and for many years
had collected and shared historical and genealogical data for
Chambers and Liberty Counties. Her library was extensive; it flowed
from room to room and threatened to overwhelm her home in Anahuac. The Villamae
Morehead and Floyd Everett Williams Papers were donated to the Center for
American History at the University of Texas at Austin in 1996, and have had
only preliminary processing. The following is a box level checklist of
Williams material created by the Center for American History. The collection
is stored in an offsite storage facility and can be retrieved only on a
limited schedule. For more information, contact the Center for American
History at 512-495-4532 or cahref@uts.cc.utexas.edu.
